Intertek Ageus Solutions, in collaboration with Intertek, offers a REACH Only Representative service that provides a mechanism for manufacturers located outside the European Union to participate in REACH pre-registration and registration.

REACH Only Representation can provide several advantages to companies and entities located outside the EU:

Provide a means to complete REACH pre-registration and registration and avoid EU sales interruption of REACH-regulated products: chemicals and substances that are not pre-registered under REACH may not be sold in the EU after December 1, 2008.
Protect proprietary information: the alternative route for registration of products is through distributors, who will require that you disclose to them the detailed composition of your product.
Avoid dependence on a single distributor. REACH registration will entail a significant investment in a relationship with a distributor, who will ultimately retain the registration of the product and require compensation should the business relationship be terminated.
